GRADY WHITe Sailfish 282
Welcome aboard Hooked Up Charters flagship, a true Charter Fishing Machine. The Grady White is 28 feet long and 9’6″ feet wide. Grady Whites are built with extremely high quality and durability. The boat is built to ride very comfortably in Lake Superior waves when other boats are unable to handle the waves in comfort. Our boat has become part of Marquette Michigan’s most popular fishing charter service. We use state-of-the-art technology and navigation to follow major schools of fish, putting you in the hottest areas possible throughout the season, resulting in more limit catches and happier customers.

These brand new engines were purchased and installed in July of 2023. They are a significant upgrade from the 2003 Yamaha 225s that were previously on the boat. New features increase efficiency and the upgraded power has significantly increased the top speed of the boat as well as reducing the noise. This means that you will get out to the fishing grounds even faster and more comfortably than before.

This 26.5' Pursuit was added to the fleet in 2025. Like the Grady White, it is custom equipped with state of the art navigation equipment and technology to ensure a safe and successful fishing trip.

The Captain
Captain Tom Tarkleson is the owner and operator of Hooked Up Fishing Charters as well as your Captain and Guide. Captain Tom is licensed by the United States Coast Guard and has been fishing on Lake Superior for almost 20 years. His expertise in boating on the Great Lakes is only rivaled by his passion for fishing. He has been fishing on the Great Lakes since he was a young child, and he loves nothing more than sharing the experience of catching fish on the largest and cleanest lake in the world!

HOOKED UP TAKES YOUR SAFETY SERIOUSLY
Your safety is of utmost importance to us, so you can be assured that we have all of the U.S. Coast Guard- approved safety equipment. There is VHF marine radios, handheld marine radio with distress calling capability and a satellite phone that can be used no matter how far off-shore we are.

STATE OF THE ART ELECTRONICS AND
EQUIPMENT
Our boats are equipped with state of the art electronics, which include Radar, GPS, Fish finder and Autopilot. The boat is also fitted with industry leading electric downriggers, which are the fastest downriggers on the market, and we have over 20 rod holders for the perfect placement of a large spread of rods. Our rods are custom built by MAGS custom rods for our specific charter fishing needs and all of our fishing equipment is top of the line and meticulously maintained to ensure flawless performance.
